Celebrating the Slab

The Whittaker's Peanut Slab: An absolute institution in New Zealand. We teamed up with Bastion Shine to tell the story of Maurice Whittaker and the mighty, if modest, Peanut Slab. Celebrating 75 years of Roasted Peanuts and Chocolate; with storytelling across stop motion, 2D, 3D, and hundreds of archival assets. Bastion Shine wanted something expressive, and felt like a storybook, while emphasising Whittaker's strong heritage making incredible chocolate. We leveraged Whittaker's extensive archive as well as public domain and AI upscaled assets to bring 1950s Porirua to life.
