Personal Information You Disclose to Us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

For example:

• Contact forms: the details you enter, such as your email address and your message.
• Our mailing list: your email address, and the IP address it was submitted from, kept as a record of your consent to receive our emails.

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information Automatically Collected

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Some of our websites use Google Analytics and advertising tools from Google and Meta, which set cookies (see section 4). Some also use our own analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. It records the pages you view, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link, your approximate location (country, region and city), your type of device, browser, operating system and window size, and how you use each page: the time you spend actively engaged, how far you scroll, how much of a video you watch, and the links you follow to other websites. Your IP address is used only to create an anonymous identifier that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you; the IP address itself is not stored.

Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

• To respond to the enquiries you send us.
• To send you marketing and promotional communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• To deliver targeted advertising to you, and to measure how well our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram works. Where our websites ask for your permission, we only do this if you allow it (see section 4).
• To identify usage trends.
• To improve our websites, using the analytics described in section 1.

3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.

We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

• Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
• Service Providers. We use the following providers to run our websites and services. They process your information on our behalf and only for that purpose:
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, our own analytics, and delivering contact form messages to our inbox.
  • MailerLite — manages our mailing list and sends our emails to subscribers.
  • Google — Google Analytics and Google Ads, on websites where we use them (see section 4).
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the Meta Pixel, to measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited our websites, on websites where we use it (see section 4).

We do not sell your personal information.

4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. This helps us improve our Services, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions.

Our Own Analytics

Our own analytics, used on some of our websites, uses no cookies or similar technologies. Nothing is stored on your device, and visitors are not identified (see section 1).

Google Analytics

We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyse the use of the Services. For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms page. You can stop Google Analytics collecting your information with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising: Google and Meta

Some of our websites use Google's advertising features and the Meta Pixel (for Facebook and Instagram). These tell us when a visit to our website leads to an enquiry or a mailing-list sign-up, so we can measure our advertising, and let us show our ads to people who have visited our websites. Your Choices

Websites of ours that use these tools show a cookie banner. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before setting any analytics or advertising cookies. Elsewhere, they are on by default. Wherever you are, you can turn analytics and advertising cookies on or off at any time using Cookie Settings at the foot of the website. You can also manage the ads you see in your Meta ad preferences and in Google's My Ad Centre.

5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organisational and technical security measures.

Our websites send information over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to our own analytics is limited to our team and protected by sign-in. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee absolute security.

7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and Australia's Privacy Act 1988, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time using the link in any email. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

9. DO OTHER REGIONS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

For users in Australia and New Zealand, we collect and process your personal information under the obligations and conditions set by Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 and New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

Some of the providers in section 3 store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. We use providers that protect personal information to standards comparable to New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020.
