About the Role

We’re looking for an intermediate-Senior Animator to join our small but mighty team in Auckland. This is a freelance / hybrid position with some requirement to come into the studio on the North Shore for ease of working together but with flexibility to work from home.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be responsible for creating dynamic, emotive keyframe animations based on prepared illustration files; no design or illustration work is required. Working from a clear brief and established brand aesthetic, you will work with our creative team and in-house animators to apply your own creative flair and bring assets to life. You’ll work in AE, mostly with raster assets and some vector work here and there. You will also occasionally rig simple characters in Rubberhose/DUIK.

What We’re Looking For:

4+ years experience in motion design and animation. Strong skills in After Effects and Adobe CC suite. A portfolio that demonstrates polished animation and a strong sense of timing, typography, and layout. Ability to work well within a collaborative creative team. Ability to work from our North Shore office (or Hybrid) throughout the project.
