Emboldening the Creator Economy

Patreon has been an engine of the creator economy since 2013, sending over $9 billion to creative people worldwide. Today, over 300 thousand podcasters, artists, musicians, video creators and more use Patreon to directly connect with over 80 million fans, and turn their passions into lasting media businesses. But the internet has changed, and creators' needs have changed along with it. Patreon's CEO Jack Conte was faced with a challenge: how can he reach new audiences and keep Patreon at the forefront of the creator economy? In collaboration with the Patreon video team, we helped build a pipeline to reimagine Jack Conte’s podcast appearances (owned and external) into social-first formats for high-cadence publishing. Using our foundation in audience and video performance data, we reworked existing formats to reach wider audiences and amplify performant Patreon messaging. By focusing on great storytelling, actionable outcomes, and thumb-stopping visuals, we were able to recenter Jack as a champion for creators and achieve significant growth.
